Sherlock Holmes + Blue - britcroft

#/wedding scenes I still cry in #because okay if that line from The Blanched Soldier suites an adaptation #’The good Watson had at that time deserted me for a wife the only selfish action which I can recall in our association.’#DESERTED ME FOR A WIFE #I just #okay because this Holmes is so emotionally repressed it’s almost like self-punishment #He’s different to BBC Sherlock in Sherlock thinks he just doesn’t have emotions - that he can just bypass them #This Holmes knows that’s naive - the he has emotions and he needs them he just won’t allow himself to have them #But he is so in love with Watson it’s beyond subtext #And how can a tiny part of you not resent the one person you give to when he leaves you#Because it’s not really abandonment #Not at all - Watson will never be able to entirely leave Holmes #And Watson doesn’t see it as abandonment #But while Watson can move outisde Holmes and meet people and have ~lads from the rugby club~ #Holmes is so ferociously dependant on Watson as his only source of companionship #How can a tiny part of you despite all your love not resent someone who gives that to you and then takes it away to give to someone else #AND THEN HE SPENDS THE REST OF THE DAMN MOVIE JUMPING UP AND DOWN LIKE A KID SILENTLY YELLING ‘PICK ME AGAIN JOHN’ #BECAUSE THIS ADAPTATION IS DECEPTIVE ALRIGHT #IT’S A LIE #THE FIRST FILM IS ALL FUN AND GAMES AND GAY #AND THE SECOND ONE IS JUST #PAIN #PAIN WRAPPED IN A THIN VENEER OF FUN AND GAMES AND GAY #IT’S AWFUL
